Throughout this website, you'll discover an eclectic collection of organizations and individuals committed to various strategies, ideas, and efforts opposing animal and/ or environmental abuse... Believing that a diverse approach of actions is the best strategy to advance our idealogy, we seek out any and all environmentally related associations, grassroots animal rights groups, alternative green politics and strategies, etc., etc. Peaceful ideas and actions to preserve our planet's well being are also welcome, as well as intelligent and sustainable living strategies and various other creative "green" campaigns and ideas found scattered around the globe... Their common thread? Like-minded goals of preserving the health of our planet for future generations and recognizing ALL its lifeforms as equals. (Because human beings are also animals, by advancing all animal and environmentally related causes, we believe we are also directly advancing human rights and causes!) The Ecodefense.com primary role is to serve as a sort of "resource network" for all these strategies, actions and efforts. What exactly is "Ecodefense"? In its most generic logical form, it could certainly mean "defending the ecosystem"... a noble and wise undertaking for all planetary beings, in our humble opinion... And although we have our own particular notions for what ECODEFENSE means to US, the fact that the word lacks a proper definition in most dictionaries graciously leaves it open to the individual to ultimately decide what ECODEFENSE is- to them! By exploring our site, we hope you'll find your own special understanding, inspirations, and styles of participation...
There are a great many options for participating in effective activism campaigns around the world... ...and just as there are vast differences in our personalities, cultures, lifestyles and idealogies, there are also many differences in our choices of planetary concern and activism. For whatever reasons, what pushes one person's hotbuttons may not concern or effect another in the same way... That's Ok. Some people write letters while others sink illegal whaling ships... It's only a matter of personal choice. Ecodefense.com attempts to categorize and organize this great diversity of activism choices into ways that suit YOU, your concerns, and your lifestyle the best.
